Hon. Guadalupe Rivera

Justice Guadalupe Rivera is a retired Texas appellate justice and trial judge. She served as Judge of the 168th Judicial District, including terms as the Presiding Judge of the Sixth Administrative Judicial District. She was then elected as Justice of the Eighth Court of Appeals of Texas, and subsequently served as a Senior Appellate Justice by assignment, presiding over trials in several regional districts.

Justice Rivera earned a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. During her career, she received numerous community awards and recognitions. She has served on several judicial committees and bar associations.

After retiring from the active bench, Justice Rivera has engaged in mediation and arbitration on various matters. She sits as an arbitrator on the Judicial Workplace Arbitrations, Inc.’s panel.
